PepsiCo Chicago: Office Branding
In late 2019, PepsiCo unveiled plans to relocate its 1,300 Chicago-based employees from an entire 17-story building to a single floor within the revitalized Old Post Office (OPO). This strategic move aimed to consolidate the workforce onto a singular floor, fostering enhanced collaboration and innovation. PepsiCo's Chicago office serves as the headquarters for prominent brands such as Gatorade, Quaker, Tropicana, and PepsiCo Beverages' North America Central Division.
PepsiCo asked us to create a graphic identity to brand PepsiCo Chicago’s transition into their new space. The Old Post Office, constructed in 1921, has captivating art deco features and architecture. The challenge was to design an identity that paid homage to this historical context while embodying the vibrant and modern essence synonymous with the PepsiCo brand.
With the combination of an art deco primary typeface, graphic lines and shapes, and bright colors pulled from PepsiCo’s major brands, we created an identity that seamlessly blended the historical charm of the OPO with the contemporary vibrancy of PepsiCo. The project encompassed the creation of a 55-page welcome guide, infographics, way-finding elements, promotional merchandise, and templates for email and PowerPoint presentations.
